Come gather ’round people

Wherever you roam

And admit that the waters

Around you have grown

And accept it that soon

You’ll be drenched to the bone

If your time to you

Is worth savin’

Then you better start swimmin’

Or you’ll sink like a stone

For the times they are a-changin’.

Bob Dylan wrote this in 1964. Narendra Modi quoted him on November 20th 2016.

Surely, times – they are changing.

At Able Ventures, we started as a consulting firm way back in 2008 with paper pencil tests. In 2016, now when students from ISB, NITIE and NMIMS took our game based assessments – we felt – The times – they are a changin’

We have been preparing for the launch for the past 6 months. When we launched the GBA last week, we were all jitters, with butterflies in our stomach, wondering how the response would be.

 The line it is drawn

The curse it is cast

The slow one now

Will later be fast

As the present now

Will later be past

The order is

Rapidly fadin’

And the first one now

Will later be last

For the times they are a-changin’.

“The Game based method seemed interesting and less on the stress side than a normal psychometric test. As an innovative fast moving Bank , Yes Bank has brought in this innovative way into its recruitment process as well .. Way to go…” – A student from ISB

“Extremely good experience. Loved playing the game. Highly innovative way of testing candidates. Kudos to Yes Bank” – A Student from NITIE

“I enjoyed playing the game and it never looked like an assessment. Keep it up !!” – Student from NITIE

From a paper pencil test – filled with drudgery and anxiety, we are proud to be pioneering the way into game based assessments in India. And we are so grateful to YES Bank for believing in us!

We are now stepping up on the accelerator – we want to provide access to these game based assessments to the millions of employment seekers in India. We want to expand, we want to collaborate with partners, client organisations, colleges and investors. Please reach out to me at smita@ableventures.in. Surely the times – they are a changin’.
